Client stories

Evidence from pathway sessions and dossier work

These notes describe specific consultations — what felt useful, and where time still ran short. Names are shortened at the client’s request.

“I arrived convinced I should chase an office apprenticeship. The session walked through my school grades and the trades I actually enjoyed on weekends. We narrowed to two Handwerk routes I could defend in an interview — though I still wish we had spent longer on housing near the companies.”
“The application review caught that my Anschreiben repeated the same soft skills three times and never mentioned the Probemonat. After the edits, two Betriebe invited me to Schnuppertage within a fortnight.”
“Employer introduction guidance gave me a call script that felt natural in Low German-tinged Niedersachsen firms. I stopped sending identical emails to every address on a scraped list.”
“The career-change package forced an honest look at income during Umschulung. Not comforting, but it stopped me quitting my current job before funding options were clear.”

Extended note: from retail floor to mechatronics enquiry

Jonas arrived with a retail supervisor CV and a half-finished Anschreiben that read like a university cover letter. In the application review we cut soft-skill repetition, named his weekend repair hobby with concrete examples, and flagged that the Probemonat was missing from his draft.

He then booked a short employer introduction session to build a list of five Ausbildungsbetriebe within commuting distance. Two Schnuppertage followed. The reservation he shared later: housing near the better-paying company remained unresolved, and we agreed that sat outside our advisory scope.
