Architectural plans suggesting structured vocational routes

Pathways

How German vocational routes usually branch

Use this map before a consultation to see which fork matches your certificates, age, and need for paid training time.

Employment consulting for apprenticeship and vocational pathways in Germany starts with naming the route — not collecting random certificates. The branches below are the ones we discuss most often in Rehden and with clients who can relocate.

Dual Ausbildung

Time split between a Ausbildungsbetrieb and Berufsschule. Training allowance, chamber exams, strong fit when you want workplace rhythm early and a company is ready to train.

School-based

More hours in Berufsfachschule or similar. Useful when company places are scarce or you need structured foundations before entering a Betrieb.

Bridging

Language courses, Einstiegsqualifizierung, or internships that make a later Ausbildung application credible without pretending to be the final qualification.

Umschulung

Adult retraining into a recognised trade, often with different funding paperwork. Timelines and income during training need an honest review before resignation.

Teilzeit

Part-time apprenticeship structures for people with caregiving or health constraints. Availability depends on trade and employer willingness.
